What Inspired You To Write The Book?

This book is the product of many years of work. It began as a simple Christmas tradition of mine, in which I started to write a short story with a Christmas theme each year and included it with my Christmas cards to family and friends. First, the stories began to spread as my friends passed copies on to their friends. Then the Lansing State Journal, a paper where I used to work, began running the story in the newspaper. Likewise, after I began working for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the editors here began running the stories. Each year, the story is enjoyed by tens of thousands of readers, many of whom have shared how much they enjoy them.

Who Will Enjoy The Stories?

The stories will be enjoyed by young and old alike. Indeed, some families have made the stories part of their own holiday tradition, by gathering the family together on Christmas Eve to read that year's story aloud. This book, for the first time, collects six of the stories together.

Will There Be More Stories?

Of course. I am already working on the story for this Christmas, though it is too early to share the title or the plot. Indeed, I am at work on a followup book, to be called A Christmas Wish, which will be published in 2008.
