About The Author

Greg Borowski, a Milwaukee native, is a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, were his Christmas stories have developed a devoted following.

He previously worked at the Lansing State Journal in Lansing, Mich., and the Chronicle-Tribune in Marion, Ind. During that time, he has received dozens of awards for features, news and sports writing. He has been interviewed on CNN, local television and numerous radio stations.

Borowski is a graduate of Marquette University, where he teaches part-time in the College of Communication. His first book -- First and Long: A Black School, A White School and Their Season of Dreams -- received a 2004 book award from the Wisconsin State Historical Society and that year also was named the top sports book in the Midwest Independent Publishers Association's annual contest.

The Christmas Heart, released in 2005, was named the best fiction book of the year by the Midwest Independent Publishers Association. A followup book, A Christmas Wish, is to be published in 2008.

Jan Walczak, a Wisconsin native and art educator, did the illustrations used on the book's cover, as well as the line drawings used inside the book. She lives and paints in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee.
